Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team operating in the Food & Food Processing industry, based in ANKENY, Iowa. The Controller will be instrumental in coordinating the accounting and data processing functions within our production facility. This crucial role will involve overseeing the accounting operations, supervising the accounting staff, and ensuring the completion of work with minimal supervision.Responsibilities: Manage and supervise the accounting operations and staff, ensuring efficient and accurate work. Ensure the integrity of inventory movements and establish and maintain standard costs. Handle the preparation and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Oversee general ledger operations and accounts payable. Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations. Administer capital spending and the management of fixed assets. Conduct budgeting, analysis, and maintain internal controls to preserve integrity. Responsible for the issuance of Monthly Financial Statements. Liaise with multiple plant locations, including handling purchasing consolidation. Utilize skills in Cost Accounting, Corporate Compliance, Budgeting - Forecasting, Fixed Asset Inventory, Internal Control, and Inventory Analysis. Requirements Proficient in Cost Accounting practices and principles Demonstrated knowledge of Corporate Compliance requirements in the food and food processing industry Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting for large scale operations Ability to manage Fixed Asset Inventory effectively Strong understanding of Internal Control measures and their implementation Proven skills in Inventory Analysis, particularly in a food and food processing context Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
