Located in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area, this Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity. If you want to conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans, this Financial Analyst position may be right for you. Advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management will also be among the Financial Analyst's duties.Your responsibilities in this roleOperate with key senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Adaptable individual experienced in analyzing large amounts of information and managing expectations
Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Present and monitor forecasting reports
Authenticate routine Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities
Discover the root causes of internal and external facts that are influencing performance and outcomes
Analyze annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations and supply information to business partners to inform decision making
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans Requirements - Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Financial analysis experience preferred
Proficiency in investment financial analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate bonds
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Go-to-market experience or experience
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
