job summary:
Randstad Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a traveling Project Engineer in the Iowa and Illinois area at a company who provides fully integrated custom technologies and services to dry-grind ethanol and biochemical facilities which include full plant design, process optimization studies, yield improvement technologies, new co-product technologies, and turnkey capital projects.
The Project Engineer position provides overall project support to the Engineering and Project Management groups within the Cedar Rapids office. The Project Engineer role is a key function for all office and field related project activities and will support the project team to ensure seamless communication and project execution between the office, 3rd party engineering firms, the field and the client.
The Project Engineer should be able to understand all phases of construction activities and project delivery process and have the ability to accurately and promptly communicate to the leadership team, all vendors/suppliers and key facility management personnel and contractors. The Project Engineer must understand and be competent to address engineering/project budget issues and ensure all timelines are met or exceeded.

Role and Responsibilities:
The role of the Project Engineer is to support projects.
The Project Engineer will ensure the smooth and timely execution of the detailed engineering package requirements
as submitted by the process engineering team for all technologies. The Project Engineer will work directly along
with other process engineering team members to ensure their work is accurate, detailed and timely to
ensure all client delivery dates are met. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager out of the Cedar
Rapids, IA office.
It is expected that the Project Engineer will assist in system start-ups at the client properties as needed and the
Project Engineer will help develop and present all training material at each client location prior to a system start-up.
