Iowa Fire Equipment Company is seeking a self motivated, career minded, team member to help perform installation and service duties associated with fire suppression systems. This position will be based out of our Iowa City, IA office.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently, manage their own workload, and perform weekly tasks efficiently. Also, mechanical ability and attention to detail are critically important to find success within this position!
Job duties will consist of the installation, repair and inspection of Restaurant Fire Suppression Systems throughout the state of Iowa and surrounding areas. Travel can be extensive and is to be expected. To offset the inconvenience of overnight travel, we offer a flexible work schedule consisting of (4) 10 hour days, Monday through Thursday, allowing for a 3 day weekend! All expenses are paid when required to travel.
Additional services you will be required to perform will be the inspection and maintenance of backflow prevention devices, hand portable fire extinguishers, and dry chemical fire suppression systems.
Iowa Fire Equipment Company covers the costs for complete training, leading to certification, for all equipment that our technicians will be working with, as well as ongoing re-certifications.
Starting wage for this position begins at $18.00 per hour, up to $22.00 depending on the level of experience that the candidate possesses, project performance, and the ability to advance independently. A company work vehicle, uniforms, and all required tools are provided.
