Star Equipment Ltd. is looking for a parts and rental counter person for our Cedar Rapids location - 2950 6th SW. We are a construction equipment distributor. We have been in the market for 50 years, and are a family-owned company.
You will be handling walk-in and phone customers, counter sales of rental, parts sales, light maintenance on rental equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Greet walk-in customers, answer phone calls.
2. Process in-store transactions: equipment, parts, supplies
3. Light Maintenance on rental equipment.
4. Stock parts in parts bins and display areas. Price items on display floor.
5. Shipping and receiving.
6. Check out rental equipment to customer, demonstration operation of equipment.
7. Price local parts and services to get the best price and quality for the shop.
8. Housekeeping daily; building maintenance as needed.
9. Update price books.
10. Parts runs.
11. Cross train where possible.
12. Other misc. duties as needed.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Outgoing personality
2. Mechanical and construction experience.
3. Computer Data entry
4. Good phone mannerism
5. Ability to type and run 10 key calculator.
6. Lift 100#
7. Clean driving record
Prior experience at automotive parts counter a plus.
