Overview:
TelCom Construction is looking for motivated employees to join our team! Weâre looking for Underground Utility Construction Foremen who are ready to roll up their sleeves and who want to make a difference by building tomorrowâs Utility Infrastructure. We are currently hiring for full-time Underground Utility Construction Foremen to work out of our Marion, IA location.
Responsibilities:
Provide communication and direction to crew members
Implement and perform steps to complete jobs in a timely manner
Performing duties of operator and/or laborer
Operate construction equipment such as a dump truck and skid loader
Setting daily production goals
Conducting daily walk-throughs
Ensuring DOT documentation
Monitoring and adhering to all safety processes and procedures
Conducting weekly tool box talks
Maintaining and submitting required reporting
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar position with a focus on crew leadership is required
Experience in Telecommunications is preferred, but not required
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to give descriptive and respectful direction
Basic computer skills required, experience with Google apps a plus!
A valid drivers license required with a good driving record is required
Class A CDL is required.
Travel throughout Iowa during the work week is required
