AEC Enterprises a South Central Iowa manufacturer of seed industry equipment is looking for a full time Mechanical Engineer/Designer.
Candidates will need to have the following:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, trade school or equivalent work experience.
Two plus years experience in Engineering .
Knowledge of the fabrication, welding and painting of steel.
Proficient ability to read and understand blue prints.
Advanced knowledge of computers and software, specifically AutoCAD and Solid Works.
Ability to take initiative and make independent decision based upon responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities are:
Generate and revise designs of equipment layouts from directives provided by customers according to company engineering standards.
Oversee production of seed processing equipment; document problems, address them and document changes.
Create itemized bills of materials for company production process.
Fill out job time reports in a proper manner, maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, orderly manner.
Offer suggestions on ways to improve current methods in engineering.
Utilize seed handling principles to design efficient seed processing equipment/systems.
Design industrial dust collection (negative pressure) systems, with an understanding of the pressure/flow/velocity relationship in air duct systems.
