Fullfillment Lead

Assists with daily activities of shipping department regarding materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling and shipping printed product. Performs manual and clerical duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples and finished product mailed primarily through Fed Ex, UPS, USPS and other similar carriers. Ensures product is produced and prepared according to customer specifications and service level agreements.Responsibilities:Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are metMaintain positive and effective relationships with employees. Direct employees to the appropriate manager regarding policy questionsEnsure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures. Report any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations to managementInspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specificationsReview and approve production samples, and/or shipments as necessaryAssist management with implementation of “Continuous Improvement” initiativesMaintain records; compile standard reports, file, tabulate, and perform routine clerical tasksWhen necessary, attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate production activitiesCoordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understoodReport any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations to managementInspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specificationsWhen necessary, attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate shipping/receiving activities.Maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain security at receiving/shipping dock doorsEnsure the “Quality Policy and Objectives” are understood and achievedMay drive delivery van to transport materials or products in local area, maintaining a safe vehicle and comply with all government regulatory laws
