Position Summary :

Working from home, the Manager of Clubs and Activities role will lead the Clubs and Activities team in developing and implementing virtual engagement and enrichment opportunities for Connections Academy students.

Responsibilities for this role include, planning, developing, delivering, and supporting a comprehensive catalogue of online Clubs and Activities offerings, hiring and onboarding staff, daily supervision of direct reports, and departmental projects as assigned.

The Manager will report to the Vice President of Student Academic Services.

Primary Responsibilities :

Design and deliver a range of student-centered virtual Clubs and Activities to engage full time virtually educated students.

Annually review the range of offerings to ensure they are aligned with student needs and interests as well as Pearson Core Values.

Interview, hire, train, and supervise a team of full Clubs and Activities Analysts who work fromtheir homes and engage students through a variety of offerings;

Collaborate through interdepartmental partnerships and with customers to ensure the delivery of high quality co-curricular experiences.

Monitor student participation in club course and synchronous virtual opportunities;

Collaborate with Pearson OBL colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures;

Communicate and collaborate effectively with Pearson supported school stakeholders to ensure fullimplementation of program policies and procedures;

Conduct regular performance check-ins for all assigned team members and provide high-qualitywritten and verbal feedback on a regular basis;

Ensure that analysts exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism, studentsupport, and customer service;

Maintain a high level of communication with analysts, meeting at least weekly either individually or in small groups, to ensure compliance with departmental and program expectations, facilitate team collaboration, and to provide support;

Assist analysts with implementing any program changes and / or new software applications;

Exemplify the company’s core values; and

Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Minimum of 5 years teaching experience or in a related field (virtual teaching experience preferred)

Minimum 3 years of experience in supervising direct reports preferred

Master’s degree in a related field required

Valid teaching credential (any state)

Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to accountability toward studentperformance outcomes

Proven ability to analyze and interpret performance-based data

Comfortable presenting information to both small and large groups

Technologically proficient (especially with the use of Microsoft Office and Google Apps)

Customer focused approach, with excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Innovative and creative problem solver, with a high degree of adaptability to shift priorities

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment

Team player demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and delegateresponsibility to accomplish objectives

Some travel may be required
