Performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Minimum RequirementsIdentify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position.Preferred or SpecializedNot required to perform the essential functions of the position.Education:75 hour Basic CNA Course required; 150 Hour Advanced CNA Course preferred. Student nurses are only required to complete the 75 hour CNA course and completion of 1 clinical rotation.Experience:Previous healthcare experience License(s)/Certification(s):Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.Multicultural sensitivity.Microsoft Office – basic computer skills.Customer/patient focused.
