I rarely post on Craigslist, but I'm hoping the right, special person will see this and respond.
We are looking for help keeping our house picked up, tidy and happy. This is NOT a job to come clean the house top to bottom in one day, so please do not respond if you are looking for a simple cleaning job.
We are hiring someone who can come in and do the little things it takes to keep a home running. Putting away toys, doing laundry, changing sheets, clearing cluttered counters and doing light cleaning like sweeping, wiping down counters, bathroom cleaning as neededanything that needs attention get it. Looking for someone who will love on our home, making it a harmonious environment. I'm lovingly calling this position our "House Mom."
We are flexible on days and hours, however ideally I would like to have someone come 2-3x week for a few hours to do some of the above tasks. Everything does not need to be done upon every visit.
Position will grow into more hours/frequency and responsibility for the right person. I see it growing into someone who eventually is in charge of all cleaning, meal prep and other tasks that will help manage the home and our family.
Our home is a new 4000 sq/ft farm house just south of West Des Moines. It will be a fun job for the right person who is looking to build a lasting relationship as a House Manager/House Mom. Would be a great position for someone retired looking for light part-time work to stay busy, make money and make a difference in the live of others.
Ideal candidate:
-Takes initiative and jumps into action. I will not be providing a to-do list for visits.
-Is responsible, reliable and works hard
-Enjoys organization and tidying
-Is okay with animals
-Be physically capable (carrying a vacuum up stairs)
-Is excited about building a relationship and being a part of our family "team"
-Non-smoker
Pay is $20/hr starting at a minimum of 5 hours a week.
