Veterinary technician, or experienced veterinary assistant (with the potential of advancement to office manager) needed to work 30-40 hours a week including some Saturdays. We are a growing small animal clinic in Van Meter, Iowa, offering clients a small town, family atmosphere. Applicant must be self-motivated, professional with good communication skills, work well as a team member, and be able to work independently. Applicant will be crossed trained in all areas of the clinic but duties will include assisting the doctor with exams, scheduling appointments, surgery preparation, assistance, and anesthesia monitoring, teeth cleanings, in-patient care, laboratory diagnostics, therapeutic laser, digital radiology, inventory control and more. Experience with Avimark and Abaxis lab equipment is a plus.
