Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
8-10+ years' experience in software engineering /total IT 5+years in DevOps
Critical Skills
Have a results driven attitude that allows to tackle challenging issues in a timely manner
4+ years experience with using Linux
4+ years experience with automation products such as Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Octopus, CloudFormation
Ability to quickly learn both concepts and new technology details; we cover a wide range of application platforms
Communication skills: able to speak clearly and intelligently at a technical level to network or OS admins, but also able to clearly articulate non-technical business concerns with product mgmt., support, and potentially clients.
Critical thinking skills. Being able to walk into a new situation and quickly apply past knowledge to find the gaps and ask the right questions to get up to speed and become a contributor.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
In depth knowledge for any/all of the following useful: TIBCO suite, Broadcom IDAM suite, java, EDI
Experience with SQL and Oracle
Documentation/Tech Writing experience
Experience with monitoring tools like SiteScope, BSM/APM, and CloudWatch
Proficient for the open source Java technologies like Spring, HBase, Dropwizard, and Solr
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
Prior healthcare experience operations and associated financial transactions such as claims, remittance, eligibility, claim status and authorizations
Education:
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
This role is a transition role that is currently more heavily focused on the ops side of processes, but it will be evolving to be more DevOps.
We need someone who can quickly pick up on legacy code and processes for current support and operations, but also help drive the vision to modernization and automation of the entire stack.
The Cloud Engineer position will be part of team responsible for supporting multiple customer facing business applications that make up the ClearanceEDI platform, also known as the Exchange.
The applicant should have a good working knowledge of several programming languages ranging from Java to TIBCO to Perl, also knowledge of automation frameworks, monitoring tools, and AWS.
This role will handle application deployments and updates as well as coordinate app shutdown/startup during system patching.
They will resolve alerts generated from our monitoring systems.
They will help solve application trouble tickets and help improve our documentation, monitoring, and automation.
This role works on complex problems where analysis of situations, or data, requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
They will need to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
