MEASURES OF SUCCESS

Work safely at all times following all safety policies and procedures

Safely, accurately and efficiently operate a Forklift, Scissor Lift, Voltage Meters, Hand and Power Tools, and Conduit Benders.

Using required PPE and LOTO Procedures

As a food safety qualified individual to work in an animal food plant, you will be trained to comply with all FDA regulations for cGMP’s and job specific responsibilities to mitigate the risk of all known or reasonably foreseeable food safety hazards.

Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, and all other electrical apparatus in buildings

Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment

Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables

Tests malfunctioning machinery and communicates malfunction with other Maintenance staff, Production Operator, and Industrial Engineers to diagnose malfunction

Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices

Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty PLC cards or VFD’s

Controls functions on Robot controller such as: teach pendant, and programmable controller to program automated machinery, to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs

Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of Electrical Technologies

Electrical Maintenance background

Effective communication skills

Working required overtime if workload dictates

Must have the ability to record and document all work in CMMS software and Red Zone program

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
