Job Summary:

Organize, confirm and process guest check-ins/ check-outs and adapt for any changes

Secure payment, verifying and adjusting billing as needed

Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities and local interests

Run daily reports, reviewing to see what needs to be communicated to the next shift’s staff

Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely

Accept and record wake-up calls, delivering to the right department

Communicate any emergency, lost item or theft to proper security staff and/or authorities

Greet and escort guests to rooms. Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property. Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities. Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area. Assist with luggage storage and retrieval. Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date. Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges. Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency. Sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability. Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake up calls, and advise guest of any messages.
