Full salary range: $63,169.60 - $95,659.20
Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
Job summary:
Manages purchasing, bids and contracts for the City of Iowa City. Directly supervises three to four employees. Assists in the development of the budget and makes recommendations for purchases, capital items or additional employees during the annual budget process. Monitors expenditures during the year.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business from an educational institution accredited by a DOE recognized accreditation body required. Two years experience in purchasing required. Must pass criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications:
Five years experience in purchasing or Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) designation with the National Institute of Government Purchasing preferred. Two years supervisory experience preferred.
