Goodwill of the Heartland â Iowa City Center is seeking a part time Supported Community Living (SCL) Associate to be creative, energetic and caring professional to assist and support individuals with barriers in their community jobs, and help individuals increase skills with their daily living activities so they can live as independently as possible. SCL Associates assist individuals with banking, grocery shopping, appointments, exercising, recreation activities and activities of daily living. SCL Associates will evaluate and facilitate client treatment plans, monitor expenses, and maintain current information about community resources that may benefit program participants.
The schedule will be varied days and evenings, and up to 29 hours per week, primarily Monday â Friday with occasional weekends. AA degree or high school diploma/GED and six months experience in training and/or rehabilitation required. Supervisory/training experience preferred. Related experience preferred. Candidate will need a valid Iowa driver's license, maintain required auto insurance coverage, and must pass motor vehicle record screening, dependent adult/child abuse and criminal history background checks.. Starting wage is $12.24 - $13.57/hour
