One permanent part time position available, 25 hours per week
Wage: $23.22 $29.79 per hour
Office Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm, schedule negotiable
Job summary:
Under general direction, determines applicant eligibility and manages a caseload of families participating in the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Rental Assistance program. Coordinates, prepares and reviews necessary documentation for program applicants and active participants. Provides information and assistance to the public and other departments in accordance with the Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations and Iowa City Housing Authority policies and procedures.
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years experience in a general office or related work environment required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer proficiency required. Must pass criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an educational institution accredited by a DOE recognized accreditation body preferred. Housing Choice Voucher Manager or other equivalent HUD certification preferred. Experience working with persons with low incomes and/or other special needs in addition to experience working with programs and agencies providing services for such groups preferred.
