American Inspection Systems, LLC is looking for Independent Contractors (1099 position) to verify occupancy and condition on residential properties.
We have an IMMEDIATE need for individuals to cover territories in the following counties and surrounding areas (Rock Island, Henry, Whiteside, Carroll, Jo Davies, Mercer, etc).
The properties to be inspected are in default by the mortgagors (owners) or have been taken back by the lender through foreclosure. Our primary focus is to determine occupancy and condition of the property. Inspectors will need to report on the type of house and if it is occupied, leave an envelope on the front door (for some inspections), and recommend maintenance if necessary. Contact with homeowners and/or tenants may be required for some inspection types.
We offer full training but knowledge of and/or experience in home inspections, real estate, lending, collections, and/or construction preferred but not required.
Requirements:
Availability during daylight hours
Possession of iPhone or Android phone with camera functionality; ideally with 4G
Reliable high MPG vehicle (25+ MPG) with clean driving record is helpful
Reliable desktop or laptop with high speed internet access
A GPS unit (e.g. Garmin) or GPS via smart phone is helpful
Experience with routing software to optimize driving efficiency (ie. MS Streets & Trips or MapPoint)
