Goodwill of the Heartland â Quad Cities Center, is seeking an energetic and caring person for a full time Job Coach. A Job coach assists and supports individuals with barriers at their jobs. Do you enjoy helping others and having a variety of tasks? This may be the job for you! We believe that our communities are strengthened when there is diversity in the workforce. As a Job Coach, you can directly impact another personâs ability to reach independence. Job Coaches help employers train and supervise our clients in community job settings; adapting training strategies to fit individual needs when needed, monitoring and documenting performance, and accurately completing required records and reports. Job Coaches work in a team environment to help develop goals and objectives for program participants.
The schedule will vary depending on your availability and our business needs, and the Job Coach will work 40 hours per week. A high school diploma/GED and six months of work experience are required. An AA can be substituted for work experience. Goodwill provides training for this position so previous job coaching experience is not required.
Job Coaches need a reliable vehicle, valid Iowa driver's license, proof of required auto insurance, and must pass motor vehicle record screening, dependent adult and child abuse, and criminal background checks. Goodwill offers part-time employees a $250 sign-on bonus after completing the introductory period, PTO that can be used after 90 days and a generous store discount.
