Job Description/Responsibilities:
To trouble shoot, maintain, repair and conduct preventive maintenance on all facility equipment and to make sure everything is safe and in working condition. Maintain equipment including, but not limited to:
Cranes, Fork Lifts, Loaders, Non-ferrous Shear, Skid Steer, Sorting Lines, Shredder, Trucks, & Trailers
Prepare & maintain all maintenance records
Organize and maintain cleanliness of Maintenance Department
May be involved in variety of other responsibilities including ordering parts, welding, and fabricating, minor electrical repairs
Safety:
Candidate must wear all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times. Failure to follow safety requirements may result in loss of position.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Prefer AAS (technical degree) and/or technical certification in Truck Repair, Welding, Hydraulics, and Electrical & Diesel Mechanics.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in truck repairs, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, welding, electrical record keeping, and preventive maintenance programs. Must be able to multi-task & have the ability to develop effective working relationships with vendors & suppliers. Must be able to analyze facts and determine action using a range of procedures within limits of standard practice. Good communication skills and some computer skills required to utilize online PM programs as well as computer diesel, hydraulic and or electrical program.
