Overview
A Muscatine, IA manufacturer of recycled glass is looking for a pack out person. This is a temporary 1st shift position. There could be potential long term direct hire on 3rd shift for operating grinder furnace if opportunity opens.
Job Responsibilities
Pack out and bagging of product.
Performs housekeeping duties.
Replace sifter screens in accordance with planned maintenance schedules.
Understands that safe work practices is a condition of employment and is actively engaged in activities such as hazard IDs and assisting in updating work procedures.
Performs special projects or other duties as directed.
Skills/Qualifications
Able to follow written and verbal instruction.
Able to demonstrate basic computer skills.
Able to troubleshoot or diagnosis situations, events or equipment.
Good interpersonal skills, works well within a team environment.
Good decision making skills (makes decisions, acts upon them, willing to defend decisions over peer pressure).
Must demonstrate a strong work ethic (attendance, attitude, etc.).
Have past experience operating heavy equipment/machines.
Work Hours/Shift
6am-2:30pm- 1st shift
Must be able to work overtime

Education
High school education or equivalent and/or can demonstrate good math and reading skills.
Post high school education desired.
