POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 1 year of management experience (must be consecutive)
Retail management experience preferred
Associate’s Degree Preferred
Experience with managing people
High aptitude for metrics and process oriented
Must be available to work night and weekend shifts
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
KEY QUALITIES: Strong time management skills, Strong organizational skills, Dependable, Timely, Honest & Positive.
SALARY: $11 - $15 an hour during probation period, then salary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Implements the vision and expectations of the general manager and owner.
2. Completes opening and/or closing duties on selected days the GM has off.
3. Actively listens to staff members, builds relationships with them, and motivates them to accomplish daily goals
4. Anticipates the needs of customers, and communicates needs to general manager.
5. Understands and upholds all store policies.
6. Circulates around the store to ensure all employees are actively doing their job.
7. Fills in any position that is overwhelmed.
8. Helps regional manager ensure the store is set for the next day.
Additional Duties Include:
Ensures drawers have a proper count
Distributes handsets to employees
Ensures store is set for opening
Takes note of employees that are late or absent
Completes any tasks General Manager Assigns.
Continual Duties
Sets example for hourly employees and supervisors.
Continually circulates through store to ensure employees are completing their job responsibilities.
Helps upset customers.
Schedules and Administers all initial phone interviews for hourly employees
Closing Duties
Counts down drawers
Collects all headsets
Ensures all employees have completed closing duties
Ensures store is reset for the next day
Writes all pending concerns for General Manager to review
Lock Store if General Manager is not present
