Work Shift: A Shift (United States of America)This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Sioux City Freezer (TCCS)MaintenanceDescriptionThis position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.TasksThis rounds man Mechanic position will work in this Sioux City Freezer cold storage facility. The team member is responsible for conducting daily rounds Forklift inspections - Operate and inspect all fork lift equipment and record information on round sheet. Freezer temperature readings - With a plant walk around inspection and record information on round sheet. Refrigeration rounds - Reading and recording the engine room equipment temperatures and pressures also conduct cooling tower water test and record information on round sheet.PM’s on all fork lift equipment, Stretch Wrappers, Pallet inverters and general maintenance associated with the plant. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as basic electrical, electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes. The mechanic will perform troubleshooting and repair, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, and reach in all areas. Must be willing to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Some positions include lifting/pushing/pulling continuously up to 75lbs.
