Job Description: Site Manager / Engineer
Job Summary:
This position is the primary company-customer contact located in Waterloo, Iowa. The site manager is responsible for all inventory management, engineering, customer service, and supplier initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Provide monthly performance data to corporate account management.
Review supplier quotes.
Manage cost savings databases.
Review manufacturing reports and root cause processes.
Promote safety and encourage the safe environment through training and coaching of the employees.
Utilize financial data to improve profitability.
Plan for effective strategies for long-term success.
Liaison with company top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
Develop effective business relationships with the customer and supply base.
Education:
Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Entry-level position. Relevant Industry knowledge and tooling experience preferred.
Preferred Experience
At least one year in engineering management.
3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Abilities:
Have the ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others. Track personal and plant goals, and also the tasks and goals set by your manager. Being a team leader and effective communicator is key to the Site Manager, companys and Customers success.
