Volt is looking for a Supply Management Specialist to work on-site with our customer John Deere in Paton, IA on contingent assignment forecasted for 2 years. This position will be the first point of contact for all things related to Indirect Materials and Services (IM&S) for the JD Paton stakeholders. Responsibilities may include the following:Strong relational skills required to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.Drive cost reduction events and initiatives with John Deere Paton factory and it's supply base.Work in conjunction with IM&S Supply Base Managers, Category Leads and other Site Leads to implement and/or develop sourcing strategies.Maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality, on time delivery, and superior performance.Support and may lead the negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers.Coordinate and lead efforts to address supplier performance issues surrounding delivery, pricing, invoicing, and contractual relationships.Expand the use of Supplier Relationship Management, Electronic Catalogs, and Source to Pay systems by working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Lead John Deere Paton process improvements for supplier invoicing and electronic catalog metrics.RequirementsA Bachelors degree is preferred, or 2-4 years of experience in a common role.Candidate must have good communication skills and excellent at problem solving.Data Analysis experienceTypical hours will be 40 hours / week and should be aligned with production needs. This could possibly be a compressed week (4 10/hour days).Metatarsal Safety Shoes are required for this roleThis position is subject to US Export Controls.
