Schumacher Elevator Company is looking for an experienced Carpenter/Fabricator to join our team and assist in the manufacturing of high quality passenger and freight elevators. The successful candidate will be skilled in carpentry, detail oriented, reliable, and take pride in their work.
What youll need for this position:
2+ years relevant experience required
Ability to perform detailed wood and laminate fabrication and assembly
Ability to use power and hand tools
Must be able to read blueprints, measuring tapes, and perform arithmetic
Forklift experience
What youll be doing:
Reading and following blueprints to construct elevators according to specifications
Manufacturing and assembly of wood, laminate and metal products
Staining and application of clear coat to hardwoods
Crating materials for shipment
Electrical wiring of pre-wired cabs
