Position Overview:
The Redi-Mix Plant Dispatcher position is responsible to take customer orders and determine yardage, coordinate delivery of concrete to job sites and maintain courteous customer relations. The Redi-Mix Plant Dispatcher is a full time position and requires overtime with occasional weekends through peak season.

Essential Duties and Functions:
Batch concrete using manual and computerized systems, such as Alkon’s Spectrum, Command Batch software, and Rice Lake Batch Controller
Prepare daily and weekly run schedules for efficiency and cost effectiveness
Troubleshoot problems in a dry batch concrete plant and with rear discharge mixers
Take customer orders and determine yardage
Schedule available trucks to meet the orders
Communicate professionally with customers and team
Have a basic knowledge of concrete finishing problems and their causes
Self-motivated and ability to solve problems as they arise
Order and coordinate deliveries from our suppliers
Working knowledge of the various ACI tests
Follow direction from supervisors and operate effectively in a deadline driven environment
Process required paperwork throughout the day (time reporting, ticketing, etc.)
Administrative duties as necessary
Cross-train with applicable positions
Position Requirements:
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen
Must be able to pass a drug test
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
ACI level 1 certification
Basic reasoning abilities (i.e. Understand instruction from supervisory positions, both written and verbal)
Basic mathematical skills (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide)
Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
OSHA Training
Fabrication skills
Loader experience
Class B CDL or greater
