Apex Systems is looking for a Voice Engineer for one of our clients in Madison, WI on a contract-to-hire basis.
Job Description:
Under the direction of Technical Services Management, plan, coordinate and design the implementation, installation, maintenance, testing, backup/recovery and capacity planning for computer systems. Responsible for applications dealing with the overall computer systems operating system and telecommunications network. Must be available to work any shift, weekends or holidays as the situation dictates.
Job Responsibilities:
25% 1. Assist management in decisions pertaining to new and existing computer system(s hardware and software requirements. Includes research and recommendation of new products and maintenance to current products.
25% 2. Assist management in both long and short range planning decisions including component failure impact analysis, performance tuning and capacity planning.
20% 3. Direct activities of Technical Services Specialist I & II and Technical Services Analyst I within the assigned areas of specialization for:
a. Installation and maintenance of software packages and products.
b. Maintenance of technical assistance and support to customers, including problem determination and resolution, relative to client software packages.
10% 4. Prepare detailed documentation for all functions performed including problem/change management.

Job Requirements:
1. BS in MIS or CS or equiv trade-off in related education and related professional work experience.
2. 6 years work experience as a Tech Services Analyst I or equivalent trade-off in related professional work experience with demonstrated achievement and progressive responsibilities.
3. Demonstrated expertise within the last 3 years in at least 5 of the following information technology concepts:
