6+ years of progressive responsibility & successful business system analysis experience
Experience working with Financial accounting, Annuity insurance data
Strong experience in SQL
Proficient in business analysis concepts (business process modeling (BPM), context diagrams, use cases, user stories)
Proficiency with techniques used in requirements elicitation, project scoping, requirements analysis, and project planning and analysis activities
Utilizes resource tools to manage project resource demand primarily Jira
Proficient in Project Management and SDLC processes; awareness of agile/iterative approaches
Experience working with a data warehouse and/or analytics team
Strong Data modelling experience is needed
Strong understanding of SDLC process is needed
Strong ability to extract information by questioning, active listening, and interviewing
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear requirements, specifications, and documentation
Strong ability to communicate embed information, business
Roles & Responsibilities
Elicits, analyzes, and documents business and technical needs of strategic programs/projects; projects will involve several business areas with scope of medium to large complexity, ambiguity, urgency, risk, and technical and regulatory sophistication.
Serves as the lead for all or majority of the analysis efforts of assigned programs/projects; coordinating the work of other business system analysts as needed.
Acts as a liaison, facilitating and communicating among several business and IT stakeholders.
Assists in bridging gap of Analysis, Design and Development work to get desired work outcomes.
PERFORMANCE METRICS:
Business and functional requirement documents are high quality, complete, correct, and unambiguous.
Resulting processes, business practices, and systems are defect free, intuitive, streamlined, effective, and meet business needs.
Delivery of requirements are met within fundamental project metrics (scope, time schedule, and costs.
Receives positive feedback from project manager, sponsor, and team feedback regarding role effectiveness and deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports medium to large complex projects involving ambiguity and risk encompassing multiple cross-functional business areas.
Facilitates and leads interviews with business and technology stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive needs and potential interdependencies.
Leads analysis efforts and coordinates efforts of other BSAs.
Analyzes business problems and makes recommendations for creative solutions.
Facilitates, prioritizes, and proposes business process re-designs to maximize process results.
Participates in vendor requests for information or proposals (RFI/RFPs).
Embraces change and provides encouragement to guide others through change; manages conflict.
Fosters relationships across multiple business and technology areas.
Increases business acumen and awareness of best practices to continuously improve business analysis capabilities.
Proficient at right-sizing the message to the audience.
