Job Summary: The Osawatomie State Hospital (OSH) currently has openings for a Mental Health Developmental Disability Technician (MHDDT) position.
Job Description: As a MHDDT you will perform basic nursing tasks in order to enable assessment of OSH patient conditions. Report changes in physical and emotional status of patients to promote patient care and safety by sharing information with trained staff. Assist and provide basic nursing care of patients to enable them to meet their needs of daily living by assisting them with personal hygiene, oral hygiene, care of clothing, etc. $14.45 (this includes shift differential). We work 12 hour shifts.
Minimum Requirements: No minimum requirements. Note: A negative drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
Preferred Criteria: A valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent.
Performance Standards: To be successful, the expectation is that a candidate will be able to competently perform the routine tasks of the position with limited supervision by the end of the probation period. Training is provided before staff start working on the units.
