Compassionate, dependable people wanted to provide in-home and community support to people with disabilities and/or elderly in the Douglas County, KS community.
A few clients need specific assistance at time of this position's posting:
Multiple clients with developmental disabilities and need supervision, assistance with task of daily living, meals, etc., as early as 7:30am on some days, and as late as 8pm on some days.
Multiple clients with physical disabilities requiring transferring and dressing assistance first thing in the morning and/ or last thing at night.
Otherwise, all caregivers provide assistance with the day-to-day tasks that allow our clients to remain in their home instead of a nursing home. Tasks include light housekeeping, getting in-and-out of wheelchairs, helping with personal care (bathing, using the toilet, getting dressed), meals, running errands and more. Clients as young as 5 years old through the end of life.
Flexible schedule to choose from includes short and long shifts, weekday, weekend and overnights.
CNA, CMA or HHA a plus, but not required. Experience doing transfers a plus. Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma.
