Lakeview Village housekeepers have the opportunity to create relationships with both fellow co-workers and community residents. We offer a generous benefits package that begins the first of the month following 60 days of full-time service.

The primary purpose to the housekeeping and laundry roles is to maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, attractive manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor, to assure that the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times.

Housekeeping Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Laundry Schedule: Monday - Friday, every 4th Weekend 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive and follow cleaning schedule/instructions from your supervisor or person in charge.

Complete daily task sheet as provided by supervisor or person in charge.

Vacuum and clean common areas and entrances as assigned by supervisor or person in charge.

Dispose of waste/trash in areas as instructed by supervisor or person in charge and reline trash receptacle in accordance with established sanitation procedures in public areas.

Clean public areas as assigned including hallways, bathrooms, stairways, elevators etc.

Clean guest rooms.

Clean resident apartments in high-rises and cottages/villas as assigned by supervisor or person in charge.

Collect soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. that have been placed in appropriate containers in assigned soiled utility areas or carts.

List and count non-personal flat linen, sheets pillowcases, towels, etc. (and mark) as needed.

Sort and separate items that require special stain removal/treatment. Wash and dry laundry per instruction.

Separate, fold, stack (hang/bag where required) and deliver to respective areas.

May work in all areas of the organization.

Move intermittently during working hours to other locations, including other apartments and/or buildings.

May be exposed to various environmental conditions while moving throughout the organization (indoor/outdoor climate).

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, turn and/or twist & moderate lifting on a regular basis.

Ability to climb and walk downstairs.

Must be able to push 15 lbs., pull 15 lbs., and lift up to 20 lbs.

Ability to stand in one place for up to 3 hours.

Ability to move in and out of buildings with cleaning supplies in various weather conditions.

Ability to work independently in a team-oriented setting with residents, relatives, staff and others

Must be able to read written documents, including but not limited to, Hazardous Material's labels, daily task sheets, and Material Safety Data Sheets.

Ability to speak, understand, and read English when performing work duties which require this need.
