Analyzes systems requirements; plans and develops computer programming procedures and instructions for converting data to the logical sequence of machine operations
Analyzes, reviews, and rewrites programs using workflow chart and diagram, applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and logic
Assists in developing program priority and scheduling; recommends file access methods and layouts
Prepares the required logical interface between related programs and web services and solves operational difficulties encountered in the execution of programs
Tests programs; analyzes test results to detect technical programming errors and to isolate factors causing abnormal machine behavior or malfunction; corrects program errors by altering program steps and sequence
Maintains surveillance on established programs to refine procedures; prepares input-output formats
Assists in defining system security and control
Prepares and maintains necessary records and reports
Compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions
Assists in conducting feasibility studies on users’ requests for service; evaluates advantages and disadvantages of conversion to a computerized system
Performs necessary maintenance of internal systems tables
Assists in conferring with user department heads/staff to ascertain/analyze technology needs; designs new or modified systems for problem resolution, systems explanations, and systems support
Develops and produces detailed user manuals; provides adequate user training
Creates and tests SQL statements to be used to answer questions and create reports
Creates reports using SSRS to meet user’s needs
Creates SSIS integration packages to manipulate and move data
Maintains Microsoft Access front ends to SQL server data
Designs and creates new SQL tables
Applies fixes to systems depending on changes with Federal or State law or changes to the third-party software by the vendor
Works with third-party technicians to fix problems; collaborates with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods to resolve issues
Assist in updating security systems, new software, upgrades and fixes in both the applications and on the servers
Performs special projects as assigned
Your success will be because you are/have
Knowledge of programming techniques and the capabilities and intricacies of the general-purpose computer and its peripheral equipment
Knowledge of program requirements for conversation of mechanical and clerical processing to the system
Knowledge of the major contemporary programming languages including but not limited to the .net environment
Knowledge of SQL 2012/2016 including
queries, configuring and installing SSIS packages, stored procedures, SQL jobs, SSRS reports, creating databases and SQL tables, and understanding SQL logins and permissions
Skill in writing programs for various purposes
Skill in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Proficiency in SQL 2012/2016
Proficiency in Microsoft Access
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
