About This Role :
K-State Athletics is looking seeking applicants for a Facility Custodian position that is a local agency, full-time, benefits-eligible positions with paid overtime.
You will provide routine cleaning and supportive custodial services for our facilities and events.
Shift : 3 : 00 pm to Midnight, Monday Friday
Daytime and weekend hours will be required as needed
An example of duties include but are not limited to :
Supervise students and part-time employees on your crew
Clean offices, media work areas, dressing / locker rooms, storage / work areas, suites, dining areas, restrooms, showers, hallways, stairs, elevators, entrances
Floor maintenance
Clean exterior entrances, walkways and handicap ramps, including sweeping and removing and / or treating ice / snow

What You'll Need to Succeed :
Minimum Requirements :
High school graduate or GED
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience performing custodial tasks in a commercial setting requiring specific cleaning and sanitation procedures
Other Requirements :
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
Knowledge of a wide variety of cleaning chemicals, their uses / purposes, mixes and safety issues. Ability to understand MSDS sheets for all chemicals to avoid injury to self, others, and equipment it is used with
Ability to successfully supervise students and part time employees
Must be punctual, dependable, and follow departmental policies
Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
Must be available to work evenings or weekends when required
Must have a valid driver's license at all times
