Manufacturing Engineer with the ability and skillset to develop and support various production and test equipment. Additional duties include the direct support of the manufacturing floor, which could involve overall process analysis and improvements, production support, mechanical design, documentation development and quality enforcement and improvements.Provide support to existing production equipment. Develop operating procedures, provide operator training, troubleshoot and repair equipment, review safety requirements.Work with team to identify improvements to existing equipment, including the identification and justification of new equipment.Familiar with common shop processes and equipment including welding, brazing, soldering, painting, varnishing, and general mechanical assembly.Mechanical and Electrical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot equipment and products.Support new product development and develop processes to provide a quality product from inception to completion.Support the transition of products and processes to other AMETEK sites.Provides technical advice and knowledge as needed on projects.Work with Quality, Production and Service Center management to resolve quality issues.Support continuous improvement activity within the factory. Work with EHS to ensure shop meets all standards and requirements and recommend improvements where necessary.Initiate improvement ideas and see through to implementation.Develop routers and visual work instructions to support production activity and reduce variability.Partner with Engineering, Sales and Production teams to deliver results.Any other work as assigned.Position Requirements:. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.Experience 5-7 years’ experience in a technical Manufacturing/Engineering environment Prior experience working in the Aerospace & Defense industry is a plus Knowledge and understanding of Aerospace aircraft systems is a plus Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience is a plusQualifications Experience identifying, qualifying and implementing new equipment into a production environmentExperience programming automated equipmentStrong analytical thinking, problem solving skills and communication skills (both written and verbal) with attention to detail.Experience developing visual work instructions.Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building, both internally and externally.Must be self-directed and be able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.Strong customer relations and negotiating skills.Strong manufacturing process experience..We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
