Pet Traditions Pet Loss Memorial Center, experiencing rapid growth, has an IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME OPENING. If you have compassion for pet owners experiencing pet loss and a desire to be of assistance, this could be the perfect full-time position for you.
PET CARE SPECIALIST / DRIVER
This is an integral position within Pet Traditions, functioning as a front-line representative for both customers and clients, providing dignified after-care for pets and compassionate care and support for pet owners. Duties include transporting beloved, yet deceased pets to our Memorial Center, contacting families to discuss wishes for their pet, and following through to completion.
Must-Have Qualifications
At least 21 years of age with valid driver's license and excellent driving record
Positive, professional, outgoing personality
Excellent interpersonal skills
Compassion and sensitivity when dealing with grieving pet owners
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Confident decision-maker
Ability to lift and move 100+ pounds
Not afraid of manual labor; this is a physically-demanding position
Comfortable caring for deceased pets and pet remains
Flexibility for evening/weekend availability
Desired Skills/Experience
Customer service background
Prior veterinary experience a plus
Prior delivery/service vehicle a plus
Knowledge of local roadways helpful
Pet owner preferred
Expected Hours of Work
Pet Traditions Pet Loss Memorial Center is open Monday thru Friday 10am-5pm. Full-time team members must have flexibility with hours, working a minimum of 9:30am to 5pm Monday thru Friday plus rotating evenings/weekends.
