POSITION SUMMARY:
The Area Manager is responsible for managing and developing sales of Tampico Brand within the assigned region. This individual will manage re-distributor as well as direct retail customer relationships. This role is responsible for increasing sales and distribution with designated independent and chain retail groups & stores, increasing flavor gallon distribution, selling in alternative packages to the assigned retail locations. This position ensures that Tampico’s family of products adheres to Tampico’s merchandising and customer service standards in existing accounts as selling in new distribution to non-buying accounts. The Area Manager Southeast will work closely with the Region Manager on the implementation of full year strategic sales and executional plans across all sales channels for the Southeast market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate yearlong growth plans aimed at increasing sales & distribution at assigned major retailers
Call on assigned key retail customers daily
Sell in displays, merchandising product, building racks at retail level
Sell in new SKUs & packages to current customers at retail and chain level
Maintain proper POS inventory levels and company assets
Regularly call on key Re-Distributors & Retail Groups to gain support and drive sales plans at retail level
Partner with distributor/retailers sales personnel to monitor retail activity
Effectively manage time and resources to attain results
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of sales experience in CPG; Experience in beverage industry at retail level preferred
Associates Degree required-Bachelor’s degree preferred
Bi-Lingual(English / Spanish) preferred but not required
Ability to multitask handling multiple customer accounts and be flexible
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Ability to create and conduct sales presentations
Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Able to travel up to 25%
Must reside in Nashville, Tennessee or Bowling Green, Kentucky
