Job Summary:
The Data Architect will set the vision for our organization's use of data, through data design, to meet business needs. The primary responsibility of the Data Architects will be to construct the technical infrastructures and policy frameworks for the secure and efficient collection, storage, and distribution of data within our organization. In this role, you must be an excellent communicator who is able to translate business and technical requirements, often of complex processes, into a viable data architecture.
Responsibilities:
The Data Architect is responsible for the strategy and delivery around the IT.
Coordinate with business data science, analytics, and reporting users to understand their data needs, and coordinates the delivery of those requirements with a focus on: data quality, data reuse, consistency, security, regulatory compliance, usage performance, and standards adherence.
Provide oversight of data delivery and management through the complete lifecycle from collection through data retirement.
Work with integration developers to provide guidance for data movement and mapping into and within the enterprise data lake and data warehouse.
Identify and drive cost and process improvements within the analytics space.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Azure data analytics resources
Familiarity with AWS cloud analytics environments
Knowledge of data modeling practices
Knowledge of data security best practices
SQL skills
Familiarity with data science methods/concepts
Experience/Skills:
10+ years of experience in enterprise technologies
5 years of experience in data architecture
3 years of experience in cloud technologies
