Role
The Cook is an integral part of the dietary team under the supervision of the community Food Service Director.
Maintain a positive attitude, treating others as you would like to be treated
Ensure menus and recipes are followed in order to provide residents with a healthy, balance diet
Provide a great dining experience for residents through service, plate presentation, and meeting specific needs
Ensure cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
Experience Requirements
Experience in food preparation work in a service environment is preferred.
18 years of age or older
Expectations and Responsibilities
Contribute to a encouraging servant leader culture and environment for associates
Ability to prepare and cook high quality, appetizing meals
Ability to follow directions
Assist where needed which may include: inventory, dining room tray removal, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
Appropriately secure kitchen and equipment when applicable.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Demonstrate dependable work habits
Proper dress, conduct, professionalism is to be evident at all times
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language
This position may require exertion of 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and other lesser lifting as required.
