POSITION: Sushi Chef, Lexington, KY
Blue Sushi Sake Grill, a rapidly-growing and energetic full-service sushi restaurant, is looking for a talented Sushi Chef to join its team. This is an exciting time to join the team at Blue Sushi Sake Grill, which has locations in Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, and Kentucky with many more on the way. Blue Sushi Sake Grill is owned and operated by Flagship Restaurant Group, which has successful and creative full-service and fast-casual restaurant concepts.
ABOUT YOU
You have experience 2+ years experience in a professional kitchen
You have 3+ years experience as a Sushi Chef
You have advanced knife skills and knowledge of sushi rolling
You can multitask in a kitchen
You're a positive, friendly and enthusiastic team player, and leader
You have great communication skills, including written and verbal
You are comfortable leading a team
Customer service is important to you
You're up for standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and walking the workday away
You're able to lift 10 to 30 lbs
You're ready for the next step in your restaurant career, with an established restaurant group positioned for rapid growth
ABOUT THE JOB
Prepare food neatly, timely and according to recipe and presentation instructions
Assign and complete prep lists and deep cleaning projects
Maintain our strict food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Maintain a positive and safe teamwork-oriented environment
Understand and believe in our kitchen culture, which is to motivate and develop talent
HOURLY:
$13-$16 per hour
