Our productive, growing practice in Lexington is looking for a self-motivated addition to our team. We are thrilled that you are interested! Our office has four operatories, with 1 Doctor operating out of 2 (occasionally 3) rooms, 1 Full time hygienist, 1 Part time hygienist. The practice is locally owned (not by a Corporation), and places patient treatment as its top priority. All members of this practice are expected to have an understanding, appreciation, and, most importantly, respect for the duties of his/her colleagues. At times, you will be expected to help out in other areas of the practice. You will be expected to bring your best self to work daily, without regard for the personal struggles we all face, without exception. Priority will be given to applicants with experience, CEREC understanding, and conversational Spanish fluency in no particular order. Most importantly, applicants will only be considered if they are self-motivated to be a Superstar Dental Assistant that their Doctor and colleagues depend on daily. Compensation and benefits are at or beyond the industry standard, and they vary depending on qualification and include health insurance, 401-K, and HSA contributions.

You will be required to assist chairside for hygiene, restorative, surgical, endodontic, fixed/removable prosthodontics, and implant procedures. Pending a skills assessment at Dr. Couch's discretion and any necessary certifications, you will be asked to fabricate temporary restorations, design and fabricate CEREC restorations, and place certain direct (composite/amalgam) restorations. In addition to chairside assisting, you will be required to disinfect rooms/work surfaces and sterilize instruments pursuant to the current CDC Infection Control Guidelines, manage lab cases, and manage inventory (and the overhead associated with). Secondary duties will include discussion of treatment with patients, scheduling of appointments, phone interviews of prospective and current patients, verification of insurance, clerical tasks, managing unscheduled treatment, and corresponding with patients and doctors.

CPR certification, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA training will be completed within two weeks of job acceptance. EFDA training or formal dental assistant education is recommended, but not required.

If you wish to apply, please attach your letter of intent and personalized resume to this listing, and we will be in touch. Calls to the office are not recommended. Please accept my sincere thanks for your interest in joining our team!
