We are a small/mid-size retail company (15 employees) located "out in the sticks" between Frankfort and Owenton KY, and we are seeking a Receptionist who could also do some office clerical work, with a possibility of being trained into sales as well. This is a full-time (40 hr/week) job with career potential and benefits. Specific requirements would include:
Good phone / interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Mid-level computer skills (PC-based). Experience with QuickBooks software a plus.
Good references
Starting pay for this job is between $12 and $15 per hour, depending on what skills and experience an employee brings to the job. Pay will increase over time based on employee performance/abilities. Full-time employees accrue up to 20 paid leave days per year, plus paid holidays. Company retirement plan available. Day shift only.
Our business is a retail establishment selling and servicing small-scale agricultural and professional gardening equipment to small-scale (mostly organic) farmers, homesteaders. and landowners. We sell only high-quality products and we provide high-quality service (which doesn't necessarily mean high-dollarwe treat our customers like we would want to be treated).
We endeavor to operate a sustainable business; we are 100% solar-powered, we recycle everything we can, we have a composting toilet, a rainwater catchment system and all kinds of eco-friendly stuff. The great majority of our sales are over the phone/internet and shipped out-of-state, as we ship all over North America and have a large Internet presence for the products we offer. We are out in the country, 6 miles from the nearest gas station or convenience store.
