The Center to Promote Effective Youth Development (Youth-Nex) in the Curry School of Education seeks a Project Associate for the Compassionate Schools Project (CSP). The Project Associate will be responsible for the management of the data collected in the Jefferson County Public Schools for the Compassionate Schools Project. The incumbent interfaces closely with both the PI and Jefferson County leaders to ensure the success of the project. Duties include coordinating the training of project participants and wage data collectors; serving as a liaison between stakeholders in Jefferson County Public Schools and the principal investigator (PI); maintaining project timelines and deliverables; and implementing project changes as necessary. The position is based in Louisville, KY.

REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in education or a related field. A minimum of two years' experience in coordinating or leading projects is required. Prior experience conducting evaluations or research data collection is required. Substantial knowledge and skills in developing and maintaining strong partnerships is essential. The ability to supervise and direct the work of others is a must. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are also required. Strong organizational and time management skills, an ability to multitask, and the ability to meet regular deadlines while delivering high quality results are essential. Experience working in or professionally interfacing with an institution of public education as a teacher, consultant, or administrator is preferred as is knowledge of classroom observation methods. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is required. Knowledge and the use of statistical research software such as Stata or SAS is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $48K-$55K Annually

Please note that this is a one year restricted position and continuation beyond a year is dependent upon the availability of the position, funding, and satisfactory performance.
