Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Assess existing cloud environment and provide recommendations for improvement based on industry best practices for cloud management and operations
  • Understand customer / application problem statement and recommend one or more solution to the problem
  • Liaise with application & infra teams, cloud platform provider support teams and other vendors
  • Transition newly engineered solutions from cloud platform team and facilitate hand over to operations team for continued support
  • Deploy and configure foundation resources such as organization, management groups, subscriptions, accounts, resource groups
  • Triage and resolve issues related to intra-cloud networking resource / services (virtual network, subnet, security groups, Access control lists, network gateways, load balancer, application gateway, firewall, DNS, service endpoints, network peering)
  • Manage and triage cloud onramp resources / services such as AWS direct connect, Azure express route, virtual WAN, traffic manager, internet ingress/ egress, virtual private network
  • Deploy, configure and administer cloud compute resources (Virtual machine, container, batch, server-less functions, marketplace and custom images, container image registry, kubernetes)
  • Administer and triage issues with cloud PaaS services
  • Review critical changes requested by operations team, prior to implementation
  • Review and approve infrastructure code for managing changes to cloud resources
  • Engage with cloud operations team to resolve incidents induced by failed production changes
  • Understand cloud standards and guidelines and facilitate adoption by cloud operations team
Requirement:
  • Experience in managing multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Certified solution architect (associate / professional / expert level) in one or more cloud platforms
  • Knowledge / Experience in deploying and configuring foundational cloud resources such as organization, management groups, subscriptions, accounts, resource groups
  • Expertise in administering and troubleshooting intra-cloud networking resources / services (virtual network, subnet, security groups, Access control lists, network gateways, load balancer, application gateway, firewall, DNS, service endpoints, network peering)
  • Expertise in managing and triaging cloud on-ramp resources / services such as AWS direct connect, Azure express route, virtual WAN, traffic manager, internet ingress/ egress, virtual private network
  • Knowledge on identity and access management platforms / services (identity federation, SSO, Role based access control, user identity, service principals, managed system identities
  • Experience in deploying, configuring and administering Cloud compute resources (Virtual machine, container, batch, server-less functions, marketplace and custom images, container image registry, kubernetes)
  • Expertise in cloud storage resource deployment and configuration (storage account, storage containers, blob, file, object, queue and table storage)
  • Experience in cloud PaaS service setup, troubleshooting and administration (web service, app service, database)
  • Strong analytical skills to understand problem statement and recommend one or more solution to the problem
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to liaise with application & infra teams, cloud platform provider support teams and other vendors
  • Knowledge or expertise in using infrastructure as code / devops tools such as terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Azure devops pipelines
  • Experience in working with cloud operations & engineering teams to ensure adoption of cloud standards and guidelines and to facilitate transition of newly engineered cloud services to operations team for administration
