DescriptionAccountemps has a current opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The Accounting Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a large, expanding healthcare company. Located in Louisville, Kentucky, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term temporary position. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Your responsibilities in this role
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Provide support during internal and external audits
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Perform special projects as assigned
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
Scanning experience desired
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
