DescriptionMedical Billing ClerkMedical Billing position available at an East End Healthcare company! Looking for individuals with a positive attitude and ready to start work immediately!Medical Billing Clerk Job Duties: Current knowledge of UB04 and 1500 forms Positive attitude Past experience with Medicaid/Medicare/Commercial billing Collects delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients Monitoring payments Following up with patients when payment lapses occur Initiates claims against estates by monitoring deaths and unpaid accounts; informing legal department to act on probate and estate issues; following-up with clerk of court. Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures; reporting compliance issues. Maintains quality results by following standards. Protects the company’s value by keeping collection information confidential.
