What does a Geek Squad City Counter Intelligence Agent (Repair Agent) do?
The Geek Squad City Counter Intelligence Agent (CIA) is a repair agent that performs high quality repairs on desk top computers, laptops, and tablets for Best Buy customers that are in need of service.
Job responsibilities include:
Diagnose and trouble shoot product for repair
Replace and/or repair product components including: mother boards, LCD's, network adaptors, USB ports, video, optical drives, keyboards, touchpads, accessories and other computer components
Complete routine functionality and quality testing on all products
Perform basic cleaning on all products
Document all repair work and Client communication for each unit touched
Partner with Team Assistant to manage the repair work-in-process (WIP) by researching escalated aging units, checking for parts issues/substitute and researching escalated service order issues
Contact Client with quote for repair and answer questions regarding cost, product installation, operation and issue prevention as appropriate What are the Professional Requirements of a Geek Squad City Counter Intelligence Agent (Repair Agent) ?
Basic Qualifications
6 months diagnosing and repairing consumer electronics
Able to stand/sit for long periods of time
Able to work in a fast pace environment
Able to carry/lift/push/pull weight up to 25 lbs. with or without accommodation Preferred Qualifications
Consumer Electronics Manufacturer Repair Certification
6 months using Best Buy's Star and Smart Parts system
Ability to multitask and have an attention to detail
