10+ years of experience
Replication design/configuration
Extensive migration experience to and from various database technologies (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Open source DB products) , Power Builder
Maintenance plan configuration/coordination
Three of the following:
Oracle database experience
SQL Server database experience
DB2 database experience
Open source database experience
Must have experience in migrating Sybase ASE15.x to ASE16
Able to work independently, troubleshoot the problem in live production environment
Able to support database systems including analysis planning design development implementation and upgrades
Applying established best practices, you will take charge of complex systems to achieve strategic objectives in the areas of service management risk management and feature delivery
You will Execute detail database design tasks and create associated deliverables Provide estimates of work for database build and configuration
Understand and follow the change management processes
Should be proficient in k-shell scripting
Consult on rightsizing decisions for database solutions Transition database build and configuration work to the Operations DBA Collaborate with the other Infrastructure Engineering and Operations database administrators as well as application developers and data specialists on database design configuration and performance issues Assist with the assessment of varying types of incidents providing subject matter expertise as needed
