EME Company has been in business for over 60 years. We are a medical textile company with a new production facility in Prairieville, LA near Airline at Hwy 73. We are experiencing remarkable growth, therefore the opportunities for successful individuals can be significant.
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person (Shipping & Receiving).
Shipping Responsibilities
- Pick orders and process all packages printed daily using the FedEx / UPS terminal
- Report all unavailable requests for product to the Inventory Coordinator
- Maintain a clean and orderly shipping area
- Assist in inventory counts
- Assist in kit packaging
- Report all back orders for manufactured goods to the Operations Manager
- Notify inventory coordinator of any expired product
- Operate package banding equipment
Receiving Responsibilities
- Receive into building all incoming product, merchandise and equipment ordered by both purchasing and engineering departments
- Check accuracy of freight bill verses actual quantities received
- Document quantities received on purchase orders and relate any discrepancies to the inventory coordinator
- Store incoming product in pre-assigned areas
- Provide shipping function with incoming items which are currently on back order
- Provide production area with product requested by the Material Handler and the Kit Assembly Technician
- Follows Shrink Wrap Procedures (with Inventory Coordinator) - Break Shrink Wrap on all pallets, Verify inventory to packing slip, Deliver inventory OR Re-Shrink wrap pallet, Label Re-Shrink wrap, Place Re-Shrink wrap pallet in the assigned area
Education
High school diploma
Experience
Five years of experience in shipping, receiving, and forklift operation. Must have previous experience or be familiar with FedEx or UPS system.
Candidates Must Pass Background Drug Screen.
